|Nobody Knows Fine Wood Floors Like Anderson
The name Anderson and fine hardwoods have been linked for more than 65 years. And for most of that time Anderson's emphasis has been engineering flooring with what we call Cross-Locked EngineeredT plies. This method of alternating the grain structure of five separate wood plies has been the backbone of our success. And this technology was rediscovered during World War II when waterproof bonding was perfected for use in lightweight, fast attack vessels successfully deployed by the U.S. Navy. Their hulls were made of cross-locked wood, bonded with special water-resistant glue. Our own L.W. ("Andy") Anderson was on the forefront of this new technology and worked closely with the U.S. Navy's design and procurement team.
